Coooool!!!!!
Tim will take care of you. Did you call him? He has a lot of orders right now, so it would be a good idea to call him and find out about when you should expect to recieve it. It may be a while, but don't worry, it's worth the wait! _________________ Greg Smith

Not yet...but I'm working on it. I tried to get a recording from the Praise Team playing at church this morning, but I'm not mic'd so you can't hear me at all. Just a bunch of middle aged people singing pretty much in key!
I plan to try some recording this week or later next weekend. Every time I play this horn I just love the sound that much more! I actually had 2 guys up on the platform this morning admiring the horn as the late service was starting...they had to scamper off-stage to keep from being a part of the show!
They loved the way it looked and complimented me on the sound after church. It's SOOOOO cool to be able to play a horn from top to bottom without having to think about it. Now I need to get my other horns in shape to play as good as this one. _________________ Greg Smith

Hey GAS, I was wondering if my PMXA-67R would come with the cool dark blue pearl keys, the engraving and the dark finish? Like this one:
Will it be like that? Or is the saxophone in the picture a custom model? |

Hiya,
You will get one with the cool pearls...the ones that show up turquois in the photos. This sax is a work of art! It has no engraving, but the engraving is not something I was looking to get. I really like the antique color. The finish doesn't show fingerprints like a laquered sax.
I don't know what you've played before, but this is the best sounding alto I've ever played! It's still a little tough to get used to the volume you get from this horn on low C down. I really have a strong playing style and this horn just gets stronger the lower the notes.
Have you corresponded with Tim lately? He just had another heart surgery and is taking some time off work, so his apprentice is setting up all the horns and Tim is doing the final check before they go out the door. It's a good thing you ordered when you did as he is only going to finish the orders he has in the door right now and stop work till the last week of April. Hope you've already got yours! If not, he'll get it done and out soon.

| Tim told me that he was expecting the new mauriats to arrive on the first week of April. I'm guessing it could take anywhere from 5-10 more days. I'm very anxious. |

Okay GAS, now that's it's late July 2006, and you have had chance to get comfortable with your new P. Mauriats, I'd love to hear your detailed impressions. I am thinking of a second tenor and P.Mauriat is on my radar. _________________ The heart plays, little else matters. |
