I'm Emily. I eat, sleep, dream sax. My school is small, and there's only concert and pep band, but next year we're supposed to get jazz band back (YAY!)
Our concert band, with 22 people, have been state champions twice in three years. I love it.
My Sax is a selmer. My Beauty. I could go on and on about it. Right now i'm trying to broaden my playing so i can live up to my gorgeous horn.
cool. thanks.

Welcome Emily! Sorry for the late greeting, but I was out-of-town all this week. I hope you enjoy our sax forum, we're always glad to have more sax players join our forum. If you have any friends who are saxophone players please tell them about this forum.
Thanks, David |

cool. thanks for the welcome guys.
Don't have many friends who play sax. This year for concert band, my sister and I were the complete sax section, which kinda speaks for itself.
But i tell you I'm glad I found this site.
My sax? Doesn't take much to get me started on that. 1938 Balanced Action Selmer which sits beside my bed when i sleep. I recently found out that it was played in the glenn miller band. My director cracks me up. He keeps trying to talk me into giving him my sax. Anyways, He took my sax in for some repairs to the octave key, and the repair guy recognized my horn and gave a big long history to it. Should i keep going? hmmmm............in the right light, it is the color of molten gold.....
Oooh, yeah, i just found the serial number engraved on the inside of the neck. the first few numbers are smudged out with age, but the last 3-4 match the sax, so its most likely the original neck............
Can you tell i love my sax? _________________ "Don't play the saxophone. Let it play you." - Charlie Parker |

Your sax was played in the Glenn Miller band? Wow! That's one big piece of jazz history there! You must be really proud! :D _________________ Thomas Hay
